From the Past
Like I said yesterday, yesterday was my Birthday. I didn't really do anything. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos after my blog post up until dinner. I had pork-chops and potatoes for dinner. After dinner I watched an episode of Psych on Netflix. If you have never seen the show, I totally recommend that you do! Then I watched the LA Kings and New York Rangers game. It went to OT where LA won 3-2. I went to bed at the beginning of the third period, so I missed the game winner...When I checked the score this morning, I was a bit upset that the Rangers lost. There is still much more Hockey to be played though!
Now let's talk about my far back past when nothing concerned me. I can start anywhere I suppose. I guess i'll start from when I lived in my old house. The house was in a survey, I guess you could call it that. There were only like four families with kids on the entire street. Three of the families lived on the same side of the street, all in a row. Last three houses on the street. My family being in the middle, the B's living to the right of us and the W's to the left. Then there was a family across the street and I didn't know them that well. There was a sister and twin boys. The sister was much older. The boys were my age I believe. I don't really remember to be honest. I went to their house once, the boys were a bit weird for the 90's. They had lots of girl toys. I'm not judging, its just odd is all. I remember something else as well, the father was convicted of murder for killing a young girl.
Well the three families on my side of the street got along quite well. We played outside for hours on end. We played so many games. Tag, freeze tag, street hockey, and everybody's favourite kick the can! If you are unfamiliar with this game, i'll explain it the best I can. It's close to tag and hide and go seek. First you need a pop can and you fill it with rocks. That is home plate if you will. So the person that was "it" counts to 100 or something and the others would hide. After the person is done counting, he/she would seek people out. The person would have to touch someone to win. The other people have to reach the can and kick it to be safe. That's it.
My best friend lived at the house to the left. My family would bug me and say that she was my first girlfriend. Her and I did spend a lot of time together. We played house quite often lol. We even went to the park across the street hand in hand without telling any adult...ya people were let's just say worried... All I remember when I was questioned was that I responded "I'm a big boy" I was 6 by the way. The summer before grade two started I moved to the house I currently occupy. I haven't really seen or talked to her in the past 16 years. I befriended her on Facebook like two years ago, that's about it.
I know she still lives on the street and has a boyfriend. Sure I could have visited after I moved here, but I guess that didn't happen. Only live like a three minute drive away. Now all that time is just a faded memory. I kind of regret never visiting. I'm not saying we would of dated or anything, but you never know what could of come to a reality. I've thought about it from time to time. But you know what? It doesn't matter, because this is my life and i'm okay with my life. Anyway this is the end to another post. I'll be back tomorrow for more! Peace! And remember kids; When in despair, eat a gummy bear!
